Barrie visit - part 2, Amsterdam

Baz and Justine had booked a trip to Amsterdam, Barrie said to come along, so I did. Hadn't been there yet, so was keen to see what all the fuss was about. Did the early Stansted thing again and got to 'Dam pretty early.

The Belgian fries shop was closed, but Barrie wasnt havin it.

Opening the account at lunch time on the canals. We spent the first day just hanging around, hung out in the coffee shops, had some lunch and a few drinks.

Later in the evening. Dinner at a place near the apartment.


Hit the Red light district later that night. Was pretty full on, but Justine was unfazed by the whole thing.


There were these weird bubbles floating down from somewhere all over the place, Barrie trying to pocket one


Baz and Juzy's apartment. It was waaay better than mine and had 2 free beds, so I stayed with them even though I'd already paid for my place.

The next morning waiting for the others, I found this massive stork bird that I watched for ages.

We had a few beers in the square while we were waiting for Justine to make a phone call. This one came out nice.

Vondelpark!! On Sunday we got some bikes and rode up to Vondel park. We spent a few, very relaxing hours riding around there.

The park was massive, heaps of people just hanging out and enjoying the arvo

Hahaha, we got a paddle boat and paddled around the canals. Classic fun, and really nice views of everything too. Baz and I did the paddling while Juzy lounged in the back.
