Dougy got me a ticket, and I. WAS. EXCITED!!!! At least until day 3 when it was looking pretty grim. Still, Ashes in England, pretty awesome. Weather was perfect too, here are some photos.
The Brit Oval, South London
We were in the 5th row
Hussey on his way to a much needed century
Punter on his way to the middle after Watson was out LBW
Barmy Army was to our right, didn't shut up all day
Punter
Ricky looked so sharp all day, until Hussey ran him out in the 60's. Awesome bit of fielding tho from Freddy.
Perfect day
Fred
Wanker
The crowd was mental, they smelled victory was close and were rabid at the opportunity of giving it to the convicts.
Another Army hero. Shut up, BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Harmison was on a hatrick and had the crowd in a frenzy, pretty good atmosphere even if I felt like a spy in enemy territory. Funny video.
Harmison waves goodbye after ripping through the tail
Barmy Army
The final stand.... The Urn was going back to England, only a matter of time.... sigh
.... and there it was, mayhem at The Oval, Poms losing the plot all over the place, I kept my mouth shut and made a hasty exit. Despite the result, it was still a great experience, ashes in England!!!! Another thing ticked off the bucket list.See you bastards in 2 years for another 5-0 thrashing down under!!!!
